JOB DESCRIPTION

As a cultural strategist, you will work with culture-driven community development based on Kiruna municipality's cultural strategy. In your role, you will work on projects in the cultural field, maintain contact with stakeholders both within and outside the municipal group based on the prioritized areas of the cultural strategy, and contribute to ensuring that cultural perspectives are represented in processes related to the city relocation. In the years leading up to and during the implementation of the European Capital of Culture year 2029, you will primarily carry out your work together with the Capital of Culture organization and participate in projects related to this. You will also be responsible for the Culture and Education Administration's work with culture in schools, which includes planning for schools' cultural offerings and projects within the framework of the state grant Creative School. You belong to the Culture and Education Administration and report to the cultural manager. You are part of the administration's office and collaborate with the office's staff to meet the goals and activities of the Culture and Education Committee.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have an academic education in the cultural field or another related education that the employer deems relevant. You have work experience in culture promotion or cultural development. You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You have a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, such as a municipality, region, or government agency.

As a person, you have the ability to work independently, can prioritize, and are flexible and solution-oriented. You are good at collaborating and enjoy working together with others towards common goals.
